Suzanne Horwitz

Suzanne Horwitz is primarily a figurative sculptor, although she has completed large installations and conceptual work as well. Through a methodology that employs viewer-object orientation, her work engages in socio-cultural commentary. Recently, she has been exploring the concepts of fragmented vision and identity using reconfigured facial features in a bas-relief format.

Her work has been presented in numerous exhibition venues including: Montclair Art Museum, Montclair, New Jersey; The Art Student’s League of New York; The Center for Visual Arts, Summit, New Jersey; Chicago Cultural Center; Artemesia Gallery; ARC Gallery; Around the Coyote Festival and Gallery; The Art Center of Highland Park; the Beverly Art Center; and Woman Made Gallery.

Horwitz’s sculpture won recognition at the Montclair Art Museum, Montclair, New Jersey. Her work is represented in the corporate collections of The Options Clearing Corporation in Chicago and Goldman Sachs in New York. She received her Bachelor of Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan.
